"シテ"とは能における"表現者"または"主役"を意味し、またラテン語で"cite"とは"働きかけよ""召喚せよ"という意味を持っています。
能におけるシテの役割、この世のものならざる者を召喚したり、演じることで観客や物語を動かすことと図らずもリンクしています。
わたしたちはこのメディアに"cite(シテ)"と名づけることで、"人の心や時代をも動かす表現者たち"、伝統的なものごとを現代的に表現する、洗練された静謐としなやかに躍動するアーティストをフィーチャーし、皆さまにMatchaを点てて飲む時のように五感に働きかけ感性を養うようなメディアを、茶の湯にまつわるアーティストプロデュースを手がける"無茶苦茶"と共に立ち上げました。
あなたが自然の一部であることを意識し、自然を観察することで、本質的な豊かさを発見することができます。自然から学んだ調和や美しさは、アートと同様に五感を刺激し、あなたの内面に響くものです。五感を磨き、身体性を通じて、より豊かな人生が広がることを願っています。
“Shite" in Noh refers to the "performer" or the "principal performer", while in Latin, "cite" carries the meaning of "to summon" or "to invoke."
Interestingly, the role of the Shite in Noh—summoning and portraying beings from beyond this world, thereby moving both the audience and the narrative—resonates deeply with this concept.
By naming this media "cite(シテ)," we aim to feature "artists who move hearts and shape the times," creators who express traditional elements in contemporary, sophisticated, and quietly dynamic forms. In collaboration with Mucha-Kucha, who produces artist-driven tea ceremony projects, we have built a platform that engages the senses and nurtures the spirit—much like the ritual of preparing and drinking matcha.
By recognizing yourself as a part of nature and observing it, you can discover true richness within. The harmony and beauty found in nature, much like art, stimulate the senses and resonate deeply within. As you refine your senses and reconnect with your physicality, may a more abundant life unfold before you.
